One of Africa’s most popular landmarks, majestic Victoria Falls, has enchanted visitors for countless years. Victoria Falls’ local name translates into “smoke that thunders”. At 1.7km long, it is the largest single curtain waterfall on earth, and its water feeds a thriving rainforest that grows on the shores of the mighty Zambezi River.

In addition to over-nighting in the charming tourist town of Victoria Falls, as well as seeing the mighty falls themselves, visitors to the area can also indulge in activities as diverse as helicopter flights over the falls, sunset river cruises, white water rafting, or crossing over to the Zambia side of the falls to experience the famous ‘Devil’s Pool’.

Whatever your choice, no trip to this corner of the world would be complete without experiencing the smoke that thunders for yourself.

For many people, Victoria Falls is the first thing that comes to mind when they hear Zimbabwe mentioned.

The world’s largest single curtain waterfall has captured the imaginations of tourists from all over the world, and the opportunity to see it first hand is an obvious draw.

A visit to Victoria Falls can be so much more than a simple photo opportunity, with helicopter rides, water water rafting, sunset cruises, and the chance to take a dip in the Devil’s Pool all on offer.
