The Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park is shared by Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Mozambique. Zimbabwe’s portion of the park is Gonarezhou, which is the country’s second-largest national park and one of its best kept secrets.

Boasting a dazzling array of landscapes that range from sandstone cliffs, eye-catching baobabs, forests, and savannah, the park is also home to a large variety of game including lions, hyenas, zebras, leopards, buffaloes, wild dogs, antelopes, and a huge variety of bird life.

Like Hwange, the park has a large elephant population of some 12,000 elephants that act as its main attraction. This is undoubtedly a wilder park than you’ll find elsewhere with animals far less used to tourists in comparison to other major parks.
