Hwange National Park is both the largest and most accessible of Zimbabwe’s National Parks. It is also one of the ten largest parks in all of Africa.
Ideally located between Bulawayo and Victoria Falls, Hwange has more than 400 species of bird and over 100 species of animal including lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and much more. The park is especially famous for its elephant population, with more than 40,000 of the massive mammals calling the vast (14,651 square kilometer) park home.
