Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival to Kigali

Arrival at the capital of Rwanda – Kigali. After all airport formalities, our driver will meet you at the airport exit and whisk you to the lodge for a good rest.

Day 2

Volcanoes National park

The day will begin with a short city tour & lunch. Afterward, we'll take you to Volcanoes National Park, named after the chain of dormant volcanoes that make up the Virunga Mountains that divide the Congo, Uganda, and Rwanda. Home to endangered mountain gorillas and the Dian Fossey research base, this national park comes alive with the cries of over 200 species of colorful birds and the chatter of a rare golden monkey. A walk-through lush forest of bamboo, open meadows, swamps, and wasteland is sure to revitalize your soul and senses.

Day 3

Gorillas in the fog

This day will be remembered for a lifetime: we will take advantage of the only opportunity in our life to go to the rainforest in the mountains and spend some time with the famous "gorillas in the fog".

After an early breakfast, we will be given a preliminary trekking briefing before being assigned to groups and walking in the woods. There is no guess as to how long or short our hike will be, as it depends on the gorillas and the weather, so you can stay in the park from one hour to six or more.

No matter how long the hike is, the reward at the end is the same: a magical hour of watching these magnificent animals as they relax, play and eat in the heart of the jungle.

At the end of the hike, we will return to our lodge to pick the luggage and proceed to the shores of beautiful Lake Kivu.

Day 4

Nuyungwe National Park

After relaxing and chilling on Lake Kivu, it's time to head off to our next adventure. We're going to Nuyungwe National Park!

After we have lunch and some rest – we go to explore the forest in a very extraordinary way, we will go for a canopy walk at an altitude of 50 m! It is the tallest and longest canopy in East Africa. Close up we will see various monkeys and monkeys, as well as the most incredible birds that live in this area.

Day 5

Nuyungwe National Park

We will wake up for an early breakfast, take our boxes with lunch and go for an adventure, to meet the most kindred monkeys – chimpanzees. There are only 400 chimpanzees in this country, so we cannot guarantee that you will see these monkeys for sure, but nevertheless, our guide will do everything possible so that you can find the chimpanzees and take beautiful photos.

After lunch at the hotel, you will hit the road back to Kigali.
