Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival to Windhoek

Welcome to Namibia!

On arrival at Windhoek International Airport, you will be met by a local representative for a Meet and Greet service before being transferred to Windhoek for your first night’s accommodation at the Am Weinberg Boutique Hotel, a famous landmark in the established and prestigious neighborhood of Klein Windhoek.

Pulsating with life, opportunity, and a sparkle of adventure, Windhoek is a multicultural city characterized by tranquil coexistence and enough living space for all its citizens, which number 350’000. Visitors can enjoy the best of two worlds between European-style architecture and lifestyle, to the vivid beat of African culture and environs. The first recorded settlements were established because of the springs in the area.

Day 2 & 4

Namib Desert

This Morning you will be transferred to Windhoek International Airport where you will be met by your pilot for the first leg of your journey towards the South of Namibia and the towering red dunes of Sossusvlei. Long before they descend towards the airstrip will marvel at the incredible sight of the red earth from the air. Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be transferred to the lodge, where you will immediately be welcomed in the warm presence of the staff and become part of the surroundings. This afternoon, you will join the Lodge for a Sundowner Nature Drive.

The following day, entering the park requires an early start, and departure from the lodge will be well before sunrise. You will be able to climb some of the tallest dunes in the world, walk towards Deadvlei with its unique petrified trees, have the opportunity to climb Dune 45 and Big Daddy, and also visit the Sesriem Canyon. This afternoon, you may choose to again join the Lodge for a Sundowner Nature Drive.

On Day 4 you are booked on a Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Flight followed by a lovely champagne breakfast at the Landing site! Enjoy the landscape from the bird’s eye view up in the clouds. The remainder of the day you will have at leisure, or you have the option to join the lodge on their afternoon activities.

Day 5 & 7

Kunene River

After breakfast this morning, you will depart towards the remote north of Namibia, right on the banks of the Kunene River in Hartmann's Valley.

Already the mere drive from the airstrip to the lodge will take your breath away. An absolute highlight of course is a visit to a Himba Community in the area, where you will learn more about these nomadic people and their lifestyle. A boat trip on the Kunene will bring you closer to the birdlife whilst keeping an eye on the massive crocodiles that laze on the banks of the river.

A Quad Biking excursion into the desert is an absolute must through the fragile environment, naturally conducted by expert guides on permitted pathways.

You will also have the opportunity to undertake nature drives in open vehicles to experience the Namib while joining a guided walk will give you some insight into extraordinary sights such as the fairy circles of the Hartmann’s Valley.

Day 8 & 10

Etosha National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airstrip where you will meet up with your pilot for the flight to the Etosha National Park. Upon arrival, you will be in time for a late lunch and the afternoon can be spent at leisure at the Lodge.

The next two days will be spent enjoying the Etosha National Park on the scheduled game drive. Etosha National Park was proclaimed a game reserve on March 22, 1907, and spans an area of 22,270 square kilometers (8,600 sq mi). It gets its name from the large Etosha pan which is almost entirely within the park. The park is home to hundreds of species of mammals, birds, and reptiles, including several threatened and endangered species such as the black rhinoceros.
