Day 1

Home - Antananarivo
Arrival at Ivato Airport. Welcoming at the airport with our representative. Transfer to your hotel situated near of the airport. We suggest you to get a good rest before taking a long drive tomorrow.

Day 2
Date : March 15, 2024
Antananarivo - Miandrivazo
Early breakfast. We head south. Rice fields and typical villages of the Highlands represent the landscape right after Antananarivo. Passing in Ambatolampy where is the work of aluminum to make cooking pot for the whole country, we have time to do the visit in our return. Continuation towards Antsirabe where we will take lunch. From Antsirabe, we will take the National Road 34 to reach Miandrivazo, said to be the hottest place in Madagascar. The town is a typical lowland Malagasy community.

Day 3
Date : March 16, 2024
Miandrivazo - Morondava - Kirindy
Drive from Miandrivazo to Morondava westward to reach the sakalava people and their famous baobab tree. We will meet less and less villages. Upon arrival in Morondava, road to Kirindy which is located on the RN8A national road, connecting Morondava to Belo-sur-Tsiribihina between the localities of Beroboka South to the North and Marofandilia to the South.
Kirindy Forest is renowned for being the only place in the world where
FOSA (Cryptoprocta ferox), the largest carnivore in Madagascar, can be observed in its natural habitat. Nocturnal visit of the reserve.

Day 4
Date : March 17, 2024
Kirindy - Morondava
Breakfast, visit of the reserve of Kirindy. Drive back to Morondava. Stop at the Alley of baobab. We are there at the right time, the sun is low, raking light, smooth trunks reflect the orange rays of the sun. It’s an ideal moment to take photography of the sunset. Continuation till Morondava.

Day 5
Morondava - Antsirabe
Breakfast then drives to Antsirabe. We will meet less and less villages. Various scenery on the way. Transfer to the hotel and installation.

Antsirabe - Antananarivo
Breakfast. City of Antsirabe by rickshaw then departure to
Antananarivo. Stop in Ambatolampy for visit of the foundry
workshop. Continuing until Antananarivo.

Day 7
Date : March 20, 2024
Antananarivo - Andasibe
Breakfast then road to the eastside. Visit of the private park of Mandraka: butterflies, reptiles, batrachians and lemur’s park, then continue to Andasibe - The thick, humid mountain rainforests of the park are filled with the hooting, grunting and wailing of 11 different species of lemur including the fabled indris. Many of the lemurs here are so well-habituated to human visitors that they barely bother to acknowledge approaching people. This makes for some wonderful wildlife encounters. This Unesco-protected area comprises two distinct parks. Upon arrival we will check into hotel. Installation then go
for a nocturnal visit of VOI community reserve.

Day 8
Date : March 21, 2024
Andasibe
Morning focused to explore Analamazaotra national Park, one of the most frequently visited sites in the country. One of the easiest to reach, and one of the best places for those who are keen on observing Madagascar’s lemurs. It is located right next to the village of Andasibe, which is also referred as Périnet (actually the name of the rain season). After lunch, visit of Vakona private reserve. Apart of the fauna and flora, the crocodile park allows us to approach the crocodiles in all serenity and the island with the lemurs to observe the lemurs in its natural habitat.

Day 9
Andasibe - Antananarivo
Breakfast. Drive back to Tana. On arrival in Tana, city tour. Antananarivo is the capital city of Madagascar and the largest city on this big island in the Indian Ocean. Antananarivo means "the city of a thousand"a reference to the 1000 soldiers that supposedly protected the newly founded city during the reign of the revered King Andrianjaka in 1610. Antananarivo is called shortly by local
inhabitant Tana nowadays. And it will surprise you with its rice paddies, Asian looks, numerous stairs up steep hills, palaces, cobbled streets and churches.
Antananarivo has a population of about 1.5 million people. In the evening, we will enjoy the sundowner at royal view.
