For those wanting a break from the hustle and bustle of the city to experience the African wilderness as it was intended, Mana Pools National Park is a popular choice.

It is named for the four large pools that were carved out of the stone by the Zambezi River. The park is home to Zimbabwe’s largest populations of hippopotamus and crocodiles. Visitors also can expect to see elephants, buffalo, leopards, lions, antelopes, wild dogs, hyenas, and even the endangered black rhinoceros.

Mana Pools is well-known for its canoe and walking safaris, offering visitors the chance to get up close with some of Africa’s most famous residents.
