Itineraries
Day 1
Central Serengeti
Today it's time to start our safari adventure!
Go to the airport early for a flight that will take you to Central Serengeti, the heart of the Great Migration (08:00–11:00 am with brief stopovers at Arusha Airport).
Lean back & enjoy the views of beautiful Tanzania… Once you have landed at Seronera Airstrip, an Iconic Expeditions guide will meet you, and we begin!
With the game drive en route, you'll proceed to your camp for a fine fresh lunch. Once you get rested, we can proceed for an afternoon game drive.
Day 2
Central Serengeti
Today you’ll have a full day of game drives on the spectacular Serengeti. Your knowledgeable driver will take you out to explore Central Serengeti.
Alternatively, today you can take a HOT-AIR BALLOON flight with a champagne breakfast. The adventure lasts for an hour (the flight itself). You will start with the sunrise, the most magical trip of your lifetime. You'll be able to observe animals from a bird's-eye view.
After the flight, you will have a champagne breakfast under the acacia trees. As well, all of you will get a certificate about today's flight!
Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater
Today we will make a final morning game drive before we say goodbye to the Serengeti!
After we are ready, we proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation area. This journey will take us around 4 hours, but all these beautiful landscapes will whisk your mind away…and time will pass pretty fast.
When we get to our lodge, you'll have a hot lunch, followed by a relaxing drink or a visit to the SPA.
Day 4
Lake Eyasi
After breakfast, you'll depart for Ngorongoro Crater, considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. When you get your first glimpse of this vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you'll soon understand why it has earned such a lofty reputation.
From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you'll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa's most recognizable faces.
Your lunch will be served by the hippo pool.
Day 5
End of itinerary
This day will not leave you indifferent because we will meet two very authentic tribes! Be ready to wake up early and start a very much exciting day!
The first tribe we are going to visit is Hadza. One of the last hunter-gatherer tribes in Tanzania, the Hadza number 1000. They live almost without stuff and can move around carrying everything they have on their backs. They wear pieces of cloth wrapped around them and don’t speak English. One with nature and the wild surroundings, the Hadza Tribe only consumes what they need, such as honey from the trees, leaves for their medicinal properties, and small animals on occasion.
Another tribe that awaits us is the Datoga, nomadic pastoralists whose diet consists mainly of cow and goat meat and milk. In contrast to the Hadza, the Datoga women wear beautiful jewelry that they make themselves and colorful traditional wear. The bracelets around their wrists and ankles create a percussive beat for their singing, dancing, and jumping, which can go on for days and even years!
Afterward, we'll transfer you to Arusha for the flight to Zanzibar (16:45–18:00). Transfer to the hotel.
