What the camps and lodges on a trip are actually like, which is the single biggest driver of what it costs. The difference between tiers is rarely the wildlife — the same guides work the same parks — and almost always the room, the food, the vehicle ratio and how much of the camp is yours. Choosing a tier is really choosing where your money goes: more nights at a lower tier, or fewer at a higher one.
