A short two-day fly-in to the Serengeti, with game drives, a bush picnic and a return flight to Zanzibar the next day.
The journey
Dry and cold at dawn. Wildlife gathers near water and the big cats are easy to find around Seronera, though most of the herds have moved north.

On arrival at the Seronera (SEU) airstrip, an English-speaking guide meets you and presents each guest with a bottle of champagne and fresh fruit. Your safari begins at once, with a game drive from the airstrip.
The Serengeti is home to lions, elephants, leopards and buffalo, and to the Great Migration. Whatever the month, the park rewards a day on safari.
Lunch is a picnic in the shade of the acacias. You return to your lodge or camp by 18:00.
Today you set the pace. Start with a game drive at first light, or take a leisurely breakfast before heading out on the road to the Seronera airstrip, with the chance to spot wildlife on the way.
Your return flight leaves at 11:30 and lands in Zanzibar at 14:15.

The next morning you can choose a first-light drive or a slower breakfast before the flight back to Zanzibar.
